DWARFLAB DRACO Smart Observatory (SHO Edition)
The DWARFLAB DRACO (SHO Edition) is a specialized smart observatory engineered specifically for narrowband nebula imaging and Hubble Palette composite output. Built on the same flagship DRACO hardware architecture—featuring a 90 mm aperture, 340 mm focal length, fast f/3.8 optics, dual 1/1.3-inch telephoto and 1/1.8-inch wide-angle cameras, 300-second exposures, built-in guiding, CMOS rotation, and EQ Mode—the SHO Edition adds specialized S, H, and O narrowband capture capabilities and a dedicated Hubble-color processing pipeline. It utilizes an external magnetic solar filter system, enabling astrophotographers to capture rich, high-contrast emission nebulae even under severe urban light pollution.
(Solar Warning: Solar imaging on the SHO Edition requires manual installation of the approved external magnetic solar filter while following the in-app guide. Never point the telescope directly at the Sun without the magnetic solar filter attached.)
【Key Features & Technical Highlights】
Narrowband & Hubble Palette Optimization: Specifically designed for S (Sulfur), H (Hydrogen), and O (Oxygen) band capture and Hubble-palette style composite output, overcoming urban light pollution.
External Magnetic Solar Filter System: Features a custom external magnetic filter mechanism for safe solar imaging and versatile filter swaps.
90mm Aperture & Fast Optics: 90 mm aperture paired with f/3.8 optics gathers ample light to reveal faint deep-sky structures.
Dual Camera System: Features a 1/1.3-inch flagship telephoto camera and a 1/1.8-inch wide-angle camera with simultaneous dual-lens capture capability.
Built-in Guiding & 300-Second Exposures: Integrated guide scope ensures rock-steady tracking for single-frame exposures up to 300 seconds.
Active Cooling & Automated Dew Prevention: Active CMOS cooling reduces noise at the source, while recycled sensor heat prevents lens fogging in cold environments.
Physical CMOS Rotation: Enables physical rotation of the sensor for free-angle composition in portrait, landscape, or diagonal orientations.
Field-Ready Protection & Power: 5.5 kg integrated body featuring IP56 protection, -20°C to 45°C operating range, and a 5-hour internal battery. Includes an aluminum-alloy tripod with TPR foot pads.
